Canyon Road Inn's wooded setting on a small lake offers a quiet respite for

Mommsen's Produce Patch - www.producepatch.com home of the giant pumpkin catapult and air powered cannon, is a fruit and vegetable farm located in Northwest Wisconsin. Crops include strawberries, asparagus, sweet corn, pumpkins, squash and many fall ornamentals. Open for the strawberry season mid to late June and early July. The Fall market/entertainment farm is open the last two weeks in September and all of October.

Visit the State Fish Hatchery in Spooner - the
largest hatchery of its kind in the world.

This is the largest of it's kind in the state. With 46
rearing ponds it has the capacity to produce 1.5 to 2 million 1.5"
to 2.0" walleye fingerlings, 100,000 6" walleye fingerlings and
100,000 8"to 10" muskie fingerlings. More Muskie are produced in
this hatchery than any where else in the world. Open to the public

Tour the Museum of Woodcarving in Shell Lake on Hwy 63. This is the largest collection of wood carvings in the World created by one man, Joseph T. Nearby bike, ATV and hiking trails (The Cattail Trail, Gandy-Dancer Trail, Ice Age Multi-Use Trail, Loon Lake Wildlife Area (3,000 acres), DD Kennedy Environmental Area, Interstate Park and Timberland Hills) offer plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. Maps and directions are available.

Fishing or Boating
Some enjoy fishing through the ice in Winter or in Summer fish off our dock for bass or pan fish or on one of the many clear blue lakes nearby (Wisconsin Fishing License Required). Within 10 miles of quiet Skinaway Lake you will find 10 more clear blue lakes for fishing or boating with public boat landings. (Horseshoe Lake, Upper and Lower Turtle Lakes, Moon Lake, Echo Lake, Silver Lake, Staples Lake, Loon Lake, Pipe Lake and Crystal Lake).
Canoes, paddleboats and a rowboat are available for complimentary use by guests. Life preservers are supplied and required.

* A set of eight (8) maps published and
distributed through the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin.
* Classify state and county roads throughout WI in terms of bicycling
conditions.
* Identify recreational bicycle trails and mountain
bike facilities.
* Provide contacts for local bicycle route information.
* Town roads are not rated for their bicycling conditions,
but are identified with their road names.
* Wisconsin Department of Transportation in partnership
with the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin (BFW)
produced this "new and improved" version of the Wisconsin Bicycle Map.
* BFW distributes this map and works with bicycle shops in Wisconsin to
distribute these maps.
* All eight maps can be purchased as a set of 4 back-to-back maps.

Wisconsin County Bike Maps
WisDOT also has downloadable bike maps for each of
Wisconsin's 72 counties.
These county maps come from the Wisconsin State Bike Map. Each county map
